Occam's Razor

Occam's Razor
Oil on Canvas
Wood Frame

Occam's Razor was the result of playing with a colour wheel. Colour wheels are based on three primary colours, three secondary colours, and the six intermediates, formed by mixing a primary with a secondary and are known as tertiary colours.

I was trying to find a way to only use the tertiary colours in the artwork, which became complex so I decided to use primary secondary and tertiary colours. Occams Razor (attributed to William of Ockham) says that if you have two competing ideas to explain the same phenomenon, you should prefer the simpler one which seemed very fitting for this piece.

If you want to know more about this artwork or would like to buy it please drop me a line. Thank you
